The Most Rational Use of Vaccine RESAN in Immunotherapy of Cancers

It has been elucidated that the vaccine RESAN is most effective when it is used as explained below, which in most of the cases enables to achieve an absolute cure of the malignant tumours:

1. Check the immune system before the vaccination

To get an optimum effect from RESAN, the level of leucocytes in peripheral blood (in empty stomach) should be not less than 4.5.109 per litre, lymphocytes should be not less than 18% before the vaccination. This is because, if the patient had undergone a chemotherapy, radial therapy or had taken in immunosuppressants within the last 6 months, the optimum immune answer can not be developed, as the immune system is hampered - needs time to recover the immune system.

2. The surgical resection and administration of vaccine RESAN
The primary tumor together with all visible metastases are surgically resected as radically as possible. The most optimum time for the administration of vaccine RESAN is 7-12 days prior to this operation. However, good results can be obtained when it is administered imeditely after the operation. The drug RESAN is administered within 24 hours in three shots (the package of 9 vials each with 200 mg).

3. Use of L-thyroxine

25 mcg of L- thyroxine is taken after administering RESAN – daily, under tongue, in the morning for long term (4-6 months).

Thyroxine – the hormone of thyroid gland stimulates the metabolism of proteins and increases the level of cellular immune-answer (increases the number of NK-cells) which enables to have better results from immunotherapy using RESAN.

4. Use of gamma interferon (IFN-g)

The gamma - interferon (g - interferon) is used according to the following scheme: intramuscular injection 1 MIU (million international unit) of g – interferon on every second day – 1 month; in following 2 months – once in every week.

The injections of the gamma - interferon are started on the 7-10 day of vaccine RESAN.

Other synonyms of IFN-g in the pharmaceutical markets – immukin, polyferon.

5. Revaccination
To maintain the optimum level of anticancer activities in the body, the first revaccination is carried out after 7-12 months, further, in every 5-7 years, with a single dose of 400 mg (2 vials) of RESAN.
